Using Comics to Learn Reading
First, we give a passage such as a short story to the students and ask them to comprehend it. Then, we ask them to click on any links provided that lead to the comic creator websites like Bitstrips, Toondoo, ReadWriteThink and Comic Master. After that, they need to create a comic based on their understanding of the passage.

Theme: Science & Technology
Topic: Should you?
Teaching Procedures:
1) Teacher asks students whether they own any accounts of social network.
2) Teacher displays a comic strip entitled, " Sweetie, no one likes selfies". http://theoatmeal.com/comics/selfies. Students are asked to read the comic strip individually.
3) Teacher instructs students to be in a group of 4 to 5 members and discuss on what they should or shouldn't do when going online based on the input from the comic strip.
4) Students do brainstorming within their respective groups.
5) Students are asked to post their outcomes (comic strip, posters, illustration and etc..) on their class blog so teacher can monitor the contents.
6) Apart from that, students can also response to the task by recording a video to raise the awareness on how oneself should behave on internet. The videos will be uploaded on their class channel on YouTube. Example of the outcome: Things You're Not Allowed To Do On The Internet: http://youtu.be/Di3MJikpEEE
7) Teacher will respond and discuss about the outcomes of the task in the classroom.

Asking for information
Few comic strips will be provided and the students have to response appropriately, if they are unable to give the proper way to ask for information they will be linked to pictures of comic strips that show the proper responses.

WELCOME AND TASK FOR READING AND VOCABULARY
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS STORY?
Once upon a time, in a land close by, there lived a princess whose evil schemes know no bounds. The Princess was cruel and she opresed many of her subjets. One day, a witch came to that land and cofronted the princes. The witch logged on to Lazada.com and with her tech magic, (and promotion voucher) she bought 200 Iphone 5s and dropped it all over the land to lure the princes. The princess was a hugge Apple fan you see, and she had many Aple products but the new Iphone 5s. "I must have it all she says!" and so she quickly sent her loyall subjectts, large flying platipuses to find the Iphones. After the playipuses have found the Iphones, they brought it back to the princess. In whcih, after the princess was near all the Iphones, she BURNT TO DEATH. She burnt because of the high radiation output of the Iphones. The people of the land, after hearing about this tale, rejoiced! However, none of them ever used Iphones again as they were reminded of the dangers of radiation. The end.
Based on the story above. List down the mistakes.
